I lay, enveloped in the sweater that still carries your scent. The tunes of yesterday still linger in the air that I breathe into and a familiar tone catches the pulse of my heavily beating heart. How easy it is to encapsulate yourself in fond memories. Even though the moment has passed, the person left, the feeling lingers. And eventually, that warm feeling gets dissolved in the hope of wait. How quickly we lay the burden of our happiness in the arms of someone who can't even keep themselves afloat in this cup of anticipation. You can either save them, or you can drown them.
